Bernadette Hadaway, 68, of Jacksonville passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the McGraw Center for Caring. Bernadette was born on February 23, 1950 in Joliet, Illinois to the late Charles and Margaret Rapp.
Bernadette graduated from the Texas Women’s University. She was employed by J.C. Penny’s marketing department and later William Sonoma of Dallas. She enjoyed reading, traveling in her Lexus, going to the beach and spending time with friends. She also enjoyed visiting churches and cathedrals. She was a member of the Rosary group and the Dinner In-Newcomers group.
Bernadette was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Kathy.
Bernadette lives on in the hearts of her husband, Roger Hadaway; children, Matthew and Lorelle; daughter-in-law, Adrienne; brother, Charles Rapp and spouse, Jeanne; a host of extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Bernadette’s life was held 11a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Our Lady Star of the Sea, 545 A1A N, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082. Refreshments will follow.
A Memorial Mass of Bernadette’s life will be 11a.m., Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Minooka St Mary’s Catholic Church 303 W Saint Marys St, Minooka, IL 60447, the family will receive friends at 10:00a.m. A reception will follow the service at Cookies in Minooka.
In lieu of flowers donation may be sent to Community Hospice 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257 in her honor.
