Anton Magnet

Anton “Tony” Magnet of Ponte Vedra, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at the age of 91 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 6, 1931 in Starcevo, Yugoslavia, later moving to Germany, then Canada and eventually to Seal Beach, California, where he spent most of his life. He finally settled in Florida.

Tony was a skilled precision machinist, engineer and inventor having started his own businesses and had countless patents in his name. He was a loving husband and father – always providing for his family above all. Tony enjoyed travel and always loved the beach and the sun.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years (Gretel), son (Andrew), daughter-in-law (Christine), and grandchildren (Emma and Ethan) all of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

His friendliness, humor and smile will be missed by all.

Friends and family are invited to attend a brief ceremony in his honor at Ponte Vedra Valley Cemetery, 4750 Palm Valley Rd, Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 9am.
