Anna Teresa McConaha (née Duffy), lovingly known as Angela by her friends and family, was born on August 17, 1943, in Derry, Northern Ireland. On December 19, 2024, Angela passed away peacefully, surrounded by her adoring family and held close by the love that she so generously gave throughout her life.
Angela leaves behind her devoted husband of 58 years, Earle Lee McConaha, with whom she shared a lifetime of adventures, enduring love, and beautiful memories. Together, they built a legacy of faith, resilience, and joy while raising their four cherished children: Sadie, Paddy, Wade, and Kerrie, along with many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever hold her in their hearts. She is also survived by her dear sister, Ethna Glackin and her loving nieces and nephew, Sibohan, Sharon and John.
Angela’s life began in the vibrant community of Derry, where she was nurtured by her Irish roots and strong Catholic faith. Her unwavering belief in the power of God guided her throughout her life, inspiring her family and countless others who were blessed to know her. From the winding streets of Northern Ireland to the many places Angela and Lee lived during his military service, she brought her warmth, kindness, and radiant smile wherever life took her.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Angela’s love knew no bounds. She touched the lives of everyone she met, offering comfort, laughter, and light to those around her. Her presence was a gift, her heart was open to all, and her legacy will endure in the stories, prayers, and cherished memories she leaves behind.
Angela will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to share in her extraordinary journey. As we say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will continue to shine brightly in our lives.
A Memorial Mass was held on Monday December 23, 2024 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church to honor Angela’s life and legacy. Details of her internment will be shared with family and friends in the coming days. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Angela’s memory, reflecting her generosity and commitment to helping others.
May Angela rest in eternal peace, cradled in God’s love.
