Alexander Sciurba, 81, of Jacksonville passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016 at the St Vincent's Riverside Center for Caring. Al was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 2, 1934 to the late Anthony and Verlie Sciubra. In 1952, he graduated from Boy's High School and went on to attend Florida State University, Jacksonville University receiving his Bachelors degree in psychology and Florida State Collage at Jacksonville completing the registered nursing program. Mr. Al was a proud veteran serving with the US Navy and will be laid to rest at the Jacksonville National Cemetery 2:00 pm, Friday September 2, 2016. The family asks for donations to be sent to Community Hospice, Wounded Warrior Project or any Non Kill Animal Shelter in Alexander's Honor. Neptune Society is in charge of his arrangements.
