Weldon is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Peggy Vogt; his three daughters, Michelle Lynn Aycock, Melanie Lea Klug, and Nichola Vogt St. James; and nine beloved grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Weldon M. Vogt Jr. and Tahnell Vogt. Weldon was the eldest of four siblings and is survived by his brothers Richard Vogt and David Vogt, as well as his younger sister Cathy Infante. He also leaves behind several cherished in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Weldon spent his early years in Slidell, Louisiana, before moving to North Texas in 1959. He dedicated 48 years of his professional life to Chromalloy Dallas, where he worked as a welder and lead man before retiring as their buyer in 2013.
A loving husband and father, Weldon found great joy in spending time with his family and grandchildren. He had a passion for fishing and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Known for his quick wit and sharp sense of humor, he could always be counted on for a clever remark. Weldon also enjoyed tinkering around the house and fixing things with care and precision.
Above all else, Weldon had a deep faith and a close relationship with Jesus that guided him throughout his life. His memory will be treasured by all who knew him.
May his legacy of love, laughter, and faith bring comfort to those he leaves behind.
