Ted Lewis McDaniel

Ted Lewis McDaniel, age 93, passed away August 20, 2025 near Kemp, Texas. Born on January 6, 1932 near Emory, Texas, Ted was the 2nd of 4 children born to Estelle Foster and Fred McDaniel. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert, sister Daphine, and grandson Josiah.

He is survived by : his wife Debbie, his sister Louise (Scott) Allen; his children: Marcus (Liengping) McDaniel and Joni McDaniel; plus stepsons Jason (Linda) Chambers and Joseph (Michelle) Chambers; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a host of loving family and friends.

After his Army service, he became a successful businessman, realtor, and car dealer in the Pleasant Grove area of Dallas. He loved playing guitars and singing for family and friends.

Ted’s grandchildren: Alasdair (Amanda) McDaniel, and Colton, Dustyn, Jordan , Justin, Jackson, Jacob, Diana, Zaylalynn, and John Chambers.

Great grandchildren: Cayli and Cayden McDaniel, Brantley and Grayson Chambers.

A celebration of his life will be held at noon September 13, 2025 in Canton, Texas ( Van Zandt fairgrounds, Todd Berry building,
