Robert Samuel Gilmore

He was born on August 3rd, 1928 in Manhattan, Kansas, where he resided up until the early 50’s. Robert married his wife of 60 years, Daisy Cook, December 31st. 1950

He graduated from Kansas State University, served his country in the Army, and was a WWII veteran. He worked for 35 years as an aircraft engineer with Vought Aerospace in Grand Prairie, later named LTV Aerospace.

Robert is preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Daisy, his parents, Louis Gilmore and Eliza Gilmore, his son, Steven Gilmore, his grandson, Clinton Gilmore, and by his brother and sister, Norval Gilmore of Washington and Mary Jo Henton of Iowa.

He is survived by his sons, Ronald Gilmore of Grand Prairie, Texas and Anthony and Lawanna Gilmore of Grand Saline, Texas. As well as his daughter in law, Sherry Gilmore, of Grand Prairie, Texas. His grandchildren, Christie Harris and Jason Harris, Kari Williamson, and Kelly Vestal and his 12 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren, and his furbaby Taco the dog.
