Linda Teifke Dabold passed peacefully at home on October 30, 2022. Born January 1, 1937, Linda Marilyn Woods in Brockport, New York to Susan Helen Middaugh Woods and Alfred W. Woods. First born and only daughter, she was doted on her entire life. Alfred. W. Woods, Jr. (Bill) came along to complete their family a couple years later.
Linda graduated from SUNY Brockport with an education degree where she met Frederick Michael Teifke, a handsome basketball player also majoring in education. They married and together they had three athletic, intelligent and stunning children. In birth order: Frederick Michael Teifke, Jr. (Freddy), Jennifer Sue Teifke and Alison Lucy Teifke.
Linda excelled in academics and sports like tennis. She also enjoyed a competitive hand of bridge. She was incredibly outgoing and her circle of friends and others whose lives she touched young and old was vast. She loved celebrating people making each one of them feel special. She mastered the art of gift giving!
She launched a successful real estate career and later met Richard Charles Dabold (Dick). They married at the Dallas Arboretum in October of 1985. Her first granddaughter came in April of 1999, Madeleine Rose Allocco. “Grammy” fell in love on a deeper level holding her. She was also there welcoming her first grandson, Christian Michael Allocco in August of 2001. She spent many days in Marblehead, Massachusetts reading to them, teaching them to speak and pushing them on swings at the beach all while showering them with love. Sharing this love, she held her second grandson in California, Harrison Michael Haupt in November of 2010. Shortly after she beamed with pride when her youngest granddaughter, Lucy Rose Haupt arrived in November of 2012. She lived to spend time with them!
Those that knew Linda felt her excitement, and passion while cheering and watching her grandchildren play sports. Most especially Jesuit football! She held the lead in bragging on each of her grandchildren and their accomplishments to anyone she encountered. She left this world sitting in her chair ready to watch Sunday football with her caring, loving husband by her side.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Richard Charles Dabold. Her children Frederick Michael Teifke, Jr and his wife Lisa Fagan Teifke, daughters Jennifer Teifke Allocco and Alison Teifke Haupt. Her grandchildren Madeleine Rose Allocco, Christian Michael Allocco, Harrison Michael Haupt and Lucy Rose Haupt. Her stepdaughter Marcia Dabold. Step grandchildren Ryan Dabold and Sarah Dabold along with three step great granddaughters. In addition to many faithful friends, real estate colleagues and gracious, loving neighbors.
