Larry Byron Shepard

Larry Byron Shepard of Farmers Branch, Texas passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the age of 84. He was born on March 24, 1940 in Vincennes, IN, and grew up in Indianapolis with three siblings.

Larry entered the Navy in 1958 and was honorably discharged in 1967.

After the Navy, Larry began his career in the computer industry with IBM, using his skills as a sonarman in the Navy.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Lucinda (Cindi) Shepard, parents Harold and Ruth Shepard, and sisters Mary and Jacqolin.

He is survived by his brother John (Betty) Shepard and children Lisa (Hank) Melton, Kent (Donna) Shepard, Kimberly Lawson and Beth (Scott) Dennis. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Larry loved to tell about his adventures in the Navy.

The family would like to thank Faith, Julia and Carrie for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days. Faith sat by my fathers side the entire last day and held his hand until the end.
