Jesus “Chuy” Perez, 66, of Odessa, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, at 12:57 PM. Born in Eagle Pass, Texas, on June 30, 1958, Chuy was raised in Junction, Texas, where he learned the values of hard work, loyalty, and family—qualities that stayed with him throughout his life.
Chuy left school after the 8th grade and began working to support his family. He dedicated his life to providing for others and spent over 24 years working for Halliburton. He was known for his unmatched work ethic, steady presence, and ability to take on any job with pride and integrity.
Outside of work, Chuy found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved riding horses, dancing, listening to country western and Tejano music, drinking a cold beer with a hot meal, and spending time with the people he loved. He was always the one you could count on—no matter the time, the task, or the need. His pride and joy were his new trucks, and a nightly treat of chocolate chip cookies and milk was a must.
Above all, Chuy was a devoted father, loving grandfather, loyal brother, and true friend. His heart was kind, his presence steady, and his love for family unwavering.
Chuy is survived by his children: Jesus Condarco Perez, Kayla Nichole Perez, and Shelbie Lee Perez, Step Son: Tyson Boone; his grandchildren: Colbe Perez (and two great-grandsons), Alita Manu Perez, Tristan Rodriguez and Trinity Stegall; and his siblings: Pepe Perez, Josefa Martinez, and Ramiro Perez.
A memorial service will be held in Junction, Texas, with the date and time to be determined.
He never looked for praises
He was never one to boast
He just went on quietly working
For the ones he loved the most.
His dreams were seldom spoken
His wants were very few
And most of the time his worries
Went unspoken too. He was there...
A firm foundation
Through all our storms in life
A sturdy hand to hold on to
In times of stress and strife.
A true friend we could turn to
When times were good or bad
One of our greatest blessings
The man that we called Dad.
Chuy’s legacy of strength, humility, and love will live on in every heart he touched. He will be deeply missed, forever honored, and never forgotten.
