He graduated from Scandia High School in 1951, served in the U.S. Army, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University in 1961.
He worked as a mechanical engineer and manager until retiring in 1999.
He traveled throughout the US and internationally for business and loved vacation adventures with his wife, children and many family members.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Joan Larson, his parents, Carl Theodore and Mabel Irene Larson, and a sister, Barbara Beyer.
He is survived by a brother, Allan Larson; three children, Jerry Larson, Carolyn Barbian (John), and Glenn Larson (Elaine); four granddaughters, Nicole Ethier (Adam), Amanda Green (Justin), Anna Larson, and Gloria Rudder (Davon); three great grandchildren, Isabel Green, William Green, and Maxwell Ethier; and many nieces and nephews.
Harold enjoyed tinkering in his workshop, helping build and repair all sorts of things, playing golf with friends, and especially spending time with his family.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service and celebration of life at Smithfield Methodist Church, 6701 Smithfield Rd, North Richland Hills, TX, on Saturday, January 25th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon at the church.
