Doug was born to Clyde James Henderson and Patricia Ann Miller in Houston Texas. He was the youngest of three siblings—Clyde James Henderson II and Terri Henderson Clark. Later, when his parents both remarried, he gained five more siblings, John Kelly, Jeff Henderson, Carlos Miller, Jill Miller Feldman, and Annie Miller Basset. They were blessed to be a blended family that was full of love for each other.
Doug had wonderful artistic and technical gifts. He earned a degree in computer animation and later he earned a degree in computer engineering. Through his career, he worked at many organizations including American Airlines and Academic Partnership, where he was able to use his skills to serve others. He also had his own business building websites.
In 1989, Doug met and fell in love with Cyndi Mills. They were married in 1991 and welcomed their son Spencer into the world in November of that year. Doug, Cyndi, her daughter Meghan, and Spencer became a family unit and shared many wonderful memories together.
Although Doug experienced personal challenges throughout his life, including his ongoing battle with scoliosis, he dearly loved his family. One of his favorite pastimes was having his son Spencer and his family over for dinner with his mom on Sunday afternoons. He adored his two beautiful granddaughters Bonnie and Elizabeth. He was so proud of his son Spencer and the amazing man and father he had become.
We are so glad that this is not the final farewell, Doug. You were such a special person to so many, and your legacy will live on in the beautiful memories you leave for all of us. We find great comfort in the truth that we will see you again in Heaven. We will always love and remember you.
