Angela Sellers Buzbee

Cookie was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on June 4, 1962, to James Carl Sellers and Linda Kay Sellers. Growing up, Cookie was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church along with her family. She attended Baker High School in Baker, Louisiana and graduated in 1980.

Cookie was a devoted wife and mother. On 04/22/1983 she married the love of her life, Bill Buzbee, who served in the U.S. Navy. During their beautiful 40 years of marriage they called numerous states and cities their home, but finally settled in Dallas, Texas. Creating a home and growing roots for their family. Bill and Cookie were blessed with two beautiful children, Billy & Kristin. Those two kids were her whole world and being a mom to them was her biggest accomplishment in life. Over the years, many life changing events would take place, Cookie becoming a grandmother to four little babies would be the highlight of them all.

Cookie is survived by her husband Bill Buzbee, son, Billy Buzbee (wife, Kristen) daughter, Kristin Ackeret (husband Vince), mother, Linda Guillory Sellers, sisters, Mitzi Cochran (Tomye), Lori Holaway (Donnie), and Jami Adams (Blane). She leaves behind her four grandchildren Mason Buzbee, Miles Buzbee, Karsyn Ackeret, and Kaiden Ackeret. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Cookie grew up Catholic and never lost her faith. Her faith was strong and she allowed it to guide her throughout her life. Cookie was preceded in death by her Father James Sellers.

A memorial service will be held for Cookie among family & friends (date TBD) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she was tremendously loved by all.
