Sherry Ann McCutcheon, 84, West Lafayette, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2024. She was born January 11, 1940 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the daughter of Howard and Alice (Kinsler) Block. Sherry and Joe McCutcheon were happily married for fifty-eight years.
Her passion and devotion was to the education of elementary students for her entire career. Sherry graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse. She was an avid reader, world traveler, loved the fine arts, played both concert piano and cello, and was a master quilter, while donating many of her projects to honor veterans through Quilts of Valor.
Sherry is survived by: her husband, Joe C. McCutcheon; two brothers, Robert (Dawn) and Richard (Kathy) Block; sons and spouses, Michael (Allison) McCutcheon and Neal (Morgan) McCutcheon; along with eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Howard and Alice (Kinsler) Block; and her two sisters, Jane Block and Ruth Resop.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to all of the staff at Westminster Village and her medical team at Franciscan Health for the amazing care and kindness that Sherry and the family received.
