Ronald E. "Sparky" Sparks

Ronald E. “Sparky” Sparks, 80, Anderson, passed away March 4, 2019. Sparky was born March 19, 1938 in Anderson, the son of Joe and Marie Sparks. He served in the U.S. Navy. Sparky worked as a well driller for many years. He was a lifetime member of the Eagles Aerie #174 where he was a trustee for many years. Sparky enjoyed fishing. On October 24, 1958 he married Barbara (Garrett) Sparks, and she survives. He is also survived by his sons, Chris Sparks (Char), and Jeff Sparks (Annette); his daughter, Melissa Hauser (Rob); 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; his sister, Maggie Jones; his brother, Jerry Sparks; and numerous nieces and nephews. Sparky was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, March 15 at 5 PM at First Baptist Church of Anderson, 907 North Raible Avenue, Anderson. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association or First Baptist Church of Anderson.
