Rochelle “Rocky” Goss, age 61 of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, August 5th, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones. Rocky was born in Indianapolis to the late Terrance Williams and Elsie Smith Williams on January 25, 1956. Rocky attended Arsenal Technical High School and went on to become the “Jane of all trades”. One of her greatest enjoyments was to go bowling with her father and later in life her sister. This lifelong hobby led her to meet her husband and best friend of almost 42 years, Jack. Jack and Rocky had a swiftly growing romance and were wed on September 28, 1975 in the home of her mother Elsie. Rocky pursued many adventures including that of becoming a reserve police officer for the Indianapolis Police Department and Indiana’s first women’s professional bowler. Rocky was a lover of people and spent most of her time enjoying life with her family and endless number of friends, always parting with a hug. She enjoyed coaching many youth bowlers and most recently spent a good amount of her time watching her granddaughter play soccer and basketball. Rocky spent the last part of her professional career as a bartender; or as she termed it, a non-licensed psychologist, at Expo Bowl with her second family. Rocky is survived by her loving husband of nearly 42 years, Jack Goss; her sister, Angie and brother, Michael (Hoke); daughter, Mickelle “Micky” Sullivan (Kevin); granddaughter, Kenzie Sullivan; her best friend and partner-in-crime, Barb Short; 4 nephews, 1 niece and a great number of other close friends and family members. She was preceded in death by her father, Terrance Williams; mother, Elsie E. Williams; and sister, Sonja Andrews. There will be a celebration of life at a date and location yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her name to the American Heart Association or the Indiana University Health Hospice
