Bob was born in Chicago on September 21, 1935 to Forest and Esther (Siuda) Fisher. He attended Chicago Vocational High School and graduated in 1954. He enlisted in the US Army, where he served for two years at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. For over thirty years, Bob worked as an engineer in the Graphic Systems Division for Goss/Rockwell International.
On September 22, 1962, Bob married Beverly Olson, who preceded him in death. Bob and Beverly enjoyed traveling together with friends and family and especially enjoyed cruises.
Bob is survived by his son, Gregory (Lani) Fisher, of Valparaiso, Indiana, and his beloved grandchildren, Caroline, Christopher and Collin.
He was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey, as well as his sister, Mary Nell “Mickey” Ermolik, and brother Michael Fisher.
Bob was a life-long Cubs fan and enjoyed taking his family to games at Wrigley Field, as well as Spring Training games in Mesa, Arizona, where he and Beverly owned a home for many years.
A Memorial Service will be held at Graceland Cemetery Chapel, 1505 East Morthland Drive, Valparaiso, Indiana on Saturday, October 7th, 2023. Visitation will begin at 10:00am and the service will begin at 10:30am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/).
