Becky graduated from Eastern High School in 1959, and later went to work at Delco Electronics, retiring in 1993, yet she never fully retired. After Delco, she went to work for Kokomo Center Schools helping in the special education classes. She also worked helping others who were unable to do for themselves. Up until her death, she worked at Crume Evans Insurance.
Becky was known as a dedicated and hardworking woman. She always had a job. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling to Florida and Tennessee, crossword puzzles, gardening, sunbathing, and cooking.
Above all else, Becky was family oriented. Her kids were her world; her two granddaughters held a special place in her heart; and her great grandchildren kept her young and proud. Her love, warmth, and generosity will always be a foundation for her family.
Becky is survived by her son, Douglas Bitner; grandchildren Morgan Smith and Katie (Joe) Rafferty; great-grandchildren Cam'Marie and AJ Smith, and Amelia and Paige Rafferty; sister, Mary Reed; extended family, Zach Creech, Holly and Lucy Melton, and Wes Evans; and several family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Crystal “Chris” Dyar, sister Mona Harrison, and brother Kenton Wilson.
There will be a memorial service for Becky at a later date. Neptune Society is in charge of cremation arrangements.
