Nancy Kay Barron

Nancy was born in Grampian, Pennsylvania on July 13, 1945 to Mike and Myrtle Moyer. She graduated from Altoona High School. Nancy worked at the Human Aid Center and the Sheraton while raising her children, Wendi Brunner, Bobbi (Tony) Johnson, and Drew (Ali) Niccolini.

Nancy married the love of her life, Gil Barron, on August 8, 1980 and added the following children, Debbie Barron, Stacey Barron, and Todd (Vikki) Barron to her family. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, her sister, Patti (Richard) Hawk, her sister-in-law, Janet (Bob) Knick, and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Moore, brother-in-law , Dutch Fisher, and her nephew, Rick Hawk. Nancy’s sister, Shirley Fisher, recently passed away on October 31.

Mom enjoyed planting trees and flowers, and taking care of her animals and birds. We will all miss visiting Mom on her porch. A celebration of life was attended by her family and if anyone wants to share in our condolences with a monetary donation, our suggestion would be the humane society in her honor. Thank you.
