She married her high school sweetheart, Clifford L. Knopp and they relocated to Long Island, New York, where they lived for twenty years. In 1973, they returned to the mid-west, settling in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Mary was a passionate reader, had a deep love for cats, traveled the world, studied holistic health, and thoroughly enjoyed deep friendships and a good glass of wine.
She is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Greg) Johnson of New Haven, Indiana, Barbara (Kelly) Grogan of Centennial, Colorado, and daughter-in-law, Sarah Knopp of Albion, Indiana; grandchildren, Eric (Jessica) Johnson, Briana (Marshall) Aspy, Dana (Bradley) Bristow, Danielle Grogan and Sage Knopp; great-grandchildren Lila, Ava, Clay, Ruby, and Bronson; and a sister, Nancy F. Reinbolt.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband Clifford L. Knopp; parents, Lester and Mabel Shoemaker; son, David C. Knopp; and sister, Barbara D. Shoemaker.
