Marilyn Sue Artrip

Marilyn Sue “Susie” (Zeider) Artrip of Logansport, Indiana passed away on September 12th, 2023, at the age of 80. She was born on February 9th, 1943, in Logansport, Indiana, to James and Mary Zeider. She graduated from Logansport High School in 1960, and went on to complete cosmetology school. She worked as a beautician for over fifty years in multiple salons throughout Logansport.

Susie was known for her sense of humor, quick wit, and her amazing cooking, particularly her well known cookie recipe. She also loved shopping with her best friend of sixty-nine years, Patricia Robison, at multiple flea markets, TJ Maxx’s, and discount stores throughout the mid-west.

Susie is survived by her daughters, Betsy J. (Artrip) Jacobs of Pensacola, Florida (spouse: Tony Jacobs), and Tamera L. (Artrip) Marchal of Logansport, Indiana (spouse: Timothy Marchal); granddaughters, Linley K. Marchal of Indianapolis, Indiana and Shelby L. Marchal of Logansport, Indiana; brother, James “Bub” Zeider of Logansport, Indiana; and brothers-in-law, Thomas Moyer of Burnettsville, Indiana.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond “Ray” L. Artrip; her parents, James and Mary Zeider; sister, Mary Lou (Zeider) Moyer; sisters-in-law, Linda (Gordon) Zeider and Patricia R. (Artrip) Kloenne.

The family would like to thank Tricia Robison, Kim Lank, Cindy Dearinger, Maria Grace, Tori Vore and the staff of Comforter Keepers and Stephanie Price from Gentiva Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Susie in her final days.

There will be no funeral services. A graveside memorial will occur in early October.
