Lois I Elson

Lois Imogene Elson Lois Imogene Elson, born in Greentown IN on July 6, 1935 to Charles and Alnora Kelly passed away on March 14, 2017. She lived in Amboy, then moved outside the Seymour area when she was twelve graduating from Cortland High School in 1953. After graduation, she moved to Kokomo IN where she met her husband of 60 years, Adolph Elson, who passed away in September 2014. Imogene is survived by two children, Deb of Greenfield and Jim (Julie) of New Palestine IN. Her three grandchildren are Joshua Elson (Amanda) of Ozark MO, Matthew (Hannah) of Lewisville IN, and Jennifer (Heath) Palmer of West Plains MO, as well as great grand-children, Jasmyne, 15, Chance, 11, and Taylor, 9, and Ezekiel, 5, Liana, 3, and Theodore, 6 months. She is survived by her two brothers, M. Ray Kelly (DeeDee) of Omaha NE and Carl Kelly (Marlene) of Manning SC, and one sister, Joyce Livers (Bill) of Austin IN as well as a host of cousins. The family would like to thank Cypress Run, Morristown IN, Hancock County Hospital, Greenfield IN, and Community North Hospital, Indianapolis IN for your dedication to help mother regain a useful life. She lost that battle at Community North and the ICU team worked valiantly to keep her with us, but God had another plan. A celebration of Imogene’s life will be held on Saturday, March 25 at 1pm at the First Presbyterian Church, 116 South Street, Greenfield IN. with a meal after the service. All are welcome. The internment of ashes will be celebrated at a later date for the family at Marion National Cemetery in Marion, IN where her ashes will be interred with Ady’s.
