Lawrence Edward Taylor

Lawrence Edward Taylor, 74, of Plainfield, Indiana, passed away at Franciscan Health Mooresville on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. He was born in Fresno, California, on June 22, 1948, too Austin M. and Mary L. (Plummer) Taylor.

Lawrence worked for Howard Johnson, where he met Kris and ended up marrying her. He worked at Copco Papers, and then changed to Crescent Paper Co. He also worked at Target Warehouse for several years before retiring.

He enjoyed Florida family vacations and ended up retiring to Clearwater, Florida with Kris. His sister and brother-in-law also retired to Florida and they had many fun times with family and friends. They lived in multiple 55+ communities in Florida and met many new friends. They celebrated forty-seven wonderful years together before she passed away in July of 2021. He then moved back to Indiana with his daughter and family in August of 2022. Larry was a kind man who never met a stranger. He loved his family and friends dearly and loved life. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Lawrence is survived by his daughter, Kelly (Josh) Foster; his son, Scott (Courtney) Taylor; his sister, Luann (Charlie) Bone; and grandsons, Logan and Jackson Foster and Ryan Taylor.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

A Celebration of Life for friends and family will be held at a time yet to be determined.

Cremation will take place and Neptune Society is handling those arrangements.
