Larry served in the United States Army first as an Engineer, supporting combat operations, and later as a member of the Military Police Corps, both during the Vietnam War.
During his time in Indianapolis, Larry worked as a truck driver and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, local 135, for several different carriers before finishing out his long career with Yellow Freight Trucking Company.
Larry White is survived by his two sons, Thomas Gordon White (Mary) and Bradley Jason White (Lanay); his five grandchildren, Kirsten, Thomas II, Seth, Gracie and Bradley II; his four great grandchildren, Gordon, Wesley, Lucy and Eleanor; his sisters, Victoria, Christeen, Barb and Penny; and his brothers, Les, Charles, Warren Jr, and James. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, other relatives, and many friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents Warren and Nancy White; brother, Harold; and sisters, Carrie, June and Betty Kay.
Finally, Larry found joy and happiness and lived out the last of his days with his love, Pam Hughes, his number 1.
Graveside service with military honors will be Friday, March 21, 2025 at 2:00 pm. at Crown Hill National Cemetery, 725 W. 42nd Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. Military honors will be conducted by Indianapolis Metropolitan Military Honor Guard.
