Jose C Gonzalez-Ruiz

Jose Gonzalez-Ruiz died on September 7, 2017 in Franklin, Indiana at the age of 76. Jose was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico in 1941and graduated from Central High in 1959. Shortly after he graduated he joined the U.S. Air National Guard and worked as a Radar Operator at Ramey Air Force Base in Aguadilla and at Punta Salinas Radar site in Cataño. He worked full time as Tech Sergeant for 16 years. Due to a Reduction –in - Force he lost his job, moved with his family to Indianapolis and finished 22 years with the Air Guard at Hullman Field in Terre Haute, Indiana. He worked one weekend a month on Disaster Preparedness. He also worked with the Indianapolis Public Schools as a Bilingual Specialist for 16 years and with Indiana Gas Company for 10 years. Jose is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Elba C. Gonzalez-Parodi, his three children Jose A. Gonzalez (Liliana), Cecile Gonzalez-Cerimele (Tim), and joins in heaven his son, Francisco M. Gonzalez (Marisa). He is also survived by five grandchildren, Joseph, Camille, Abigail, Alejandro and Annalise. A celebration of life will be Friday, September 22, 2017 10:00 AM to 12:00 with mass following at the St. Roch Catholic Church. 3603 South Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. Military service at Orchard Hill Cemetery 8936 Southeastern Avenue Indianapolis, Indiana 46239. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
