Jeanette Lilly Williams, born Jeanette Lilly Carl on July 6, 1932, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, at the age of 94.
Born and raised in Crown Point, Indiana, Jeanette was the beloved daughter of Helen and Anthony Carl. She attended a Lutheran primary school and graduated from Crown Point High School, carrying with her the values of kindness, faith, and perseverance throughout her life.
Jeanette had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome. She genuinely loved being around others, and in return, people naturally gravitated toward her warm smile, lively spirit, and caring heart. Whether she was sharing stories, offering encouragement, or simply enjoying a conversation, she made lasting impressions on everyone she met.
She shared her life with her husband, Thomas Williams, and was a devoted mother to her three sons, Bob, Brad, and Dave Coons, as well as a loving grandmother. Her family was the center of her world, and the love she gave them will continue to live on through the generations.
Jeanette embraced life with enthusiasm and grace. She was a beautiful ballroom dancer whose elegance lit up every dance floor. She loved to travel with her husband and treasured the adventures, memories, and friendships she made along the way. Her spunky personality, quick wit, and joyful outlook were hallmarks of her character, inspiring those around her to appreciate life's simple pleasures and face each day with optimism.
Jeanette leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and genuine connection. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she is no longer with us, her vibrant spirit, contagious smile, and the countless memories she created will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
She spent her final moments surrounded by loving embraces from the nurses whose hearts she immediately touched, comforted by her faithful husband and lovingly supported by her stepdaughters, whose care and presence brought her peace.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." — John 3:16
May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with those who went before her, and may her memory continue to bring comfort, hope, and inspiration to all whose lives she touched.
