Jason Edward Vaughn, 51, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away at home on Sunday, July 9, 2023. He was born in Fort Lewis, Washington, on June 19, 1972, to Larry and Norma (Montgomery) Vaughn. Jason graduated from high school in Monterey, California, and attended college. He joined the U.S. Army and proudly served his country from 1991 to 1999. He continued his dedication to the work he loved by continuing his career in civilian aviation.
Jason has spent the last twenty years or so traveling across the eastern and east central states as a contractor for aviation mechanical work. His more recent work brought him to Indiana. He loved his aviation career and aviation family.
Jason was a son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He was a kind soul and would give you his last beer. So many hearts are just shattered, and he will be missed beyond words. We know he is up in heaven, looking down at all who loved him. He loved looking out at the flight line- we know he is loving the best view ever! You will never be forgotten, Jason. See you on the other side!
Jason is survived by his mother, Norma Vaughn, of Texas; his father, Larry Vaughn, of Florida; his brothers, Lathan Vaughn and Kerry Vaughn; his sister, Charis Boucher (husband, Michael), of Texas; niece and nephews, Alaysia Young, Jack Boucher, Austin Boucher, Levi Vaughn, and Victor Vaughn.
Neptune Society is in charge of cremation arrangements.
