Jacqueline G. Wakefield

Jacqueline Johnston Wakefield passed away on August 9, 2018, surrounded by loved ones. Jackie was known for her dry humor, generous spirit and big kitchens which she didn’t use. Jackie loved all dogs, especially her retired racing greyhounds. She also enjoyed traveling and creating intricate leather projects. Some of her most treasured times were visiting with her many friends. As a child survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor, Jackie visited Oahu several times to participate in the annual December 7th Remembrance Ceremony at Hickam Field.

Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Wakefield; parents Charles and Bess Johnston and one grandson. She is survived by her brother, Charles “Nick” Johnston (Ella Jo), daughters Sherri Wakefield Mangin, Vicki Flora (Richard), Kathi Wakefield Trimble (Tom Duff) and Wendi Wakefield. There are 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren with another on the way.
