Dorothy May Stier

Her life continues through her husband of 56 years, Daniel Michael Stier, her children, Daniel Stier (Lori), Debra Scott (John), Doug Stier (Karen) and her grandchildren, Christine, Josh(Jenna), Mariah, David, Abby, Macy and her step grandchildren Jeremy and Jenna Smith and her brother Jerry Miller, step brothers; Gary Tope, Monte Tope, Jack Tope, and many cousins and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ura Miller, and Doris Miller; stepmother Virginia Miller, sisters Mary Burns and Carol Peoni and brothers Gerald Miller and Herald Miller.

Dorothy was a faithful wife, fantastic mother, fun grandmother, and would liven any room she entered. She was a small package with a lot of energy! She saw positive in every situation. She knew no stranger and rooted for the underdog. She attended all school and sporting events of her children and grandchildren.

She worked at Lincoln Life and a fabric store but her most rewarding job was being a mother. She was talented at making crafts, wedding cakes, scrapbooking and coloring. She spent many years selling her handmade items at craft shows and selling her delicious wedding cakes.

A celebration of life service will be held at Otterbein Franklin SeniorLife Community in the chapel on Tuesday, June 26 at 2:00pm with the prior hour, starting at 1:00pm, for all to reminisce. Chaplin David Owens will be officiating, with Pastor Josh Cadwell giving a message. Internment will be done at a later date with immediate family. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Dorothy to Victory Christian Church 1720 Graham St. Franklin, Indiana 46131.
