Donna June Handley

Handley, Donna Lakes, 83, of Liberty, IN took leave of her earthly body on August 29, 2019. Donna graduated from Short High School in 1954. Donna was a homemaker who took time to be a Sunday School Teacher at Liberty Presbyterian Church, volunteer with the Special Olympics, be a Cub Scout Leader, and a member of the Apron Strings club. She also enjoyed crafting and decorating especially at Christmas Bizarre time

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Frances (Hubbard) Lakes; sister, Jane; brother, Wayne Lakes; and sons, Stephen and Scott Handley.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 64 years, Donald E. Handley; grandchildren, Jessica Sheard (Andrew), LeHigh Acres of Florida, and Maxwell Fredricks of Liberty; sister, Judy Swain of Cincinnati; brother-in-law, Neil Handley of Indianapolis; daughter-in-law, Melissa Handley of Liberty; and Donna’s favorite four legged companion, Buster.

A special thanks to Missy Handley, Neil Handley, special neighbors, and Southern Care Hospice for all the TLC shown to Donna until the end.
