

Don W. Wilson was born on January 24, 1932 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to Donald F. and Ella Wilson. He graduated from New Haven High School. He enjoyed competing in Golden Gloves, riding his Harley Davidson, walking and music. He served in the Marines in Paris Island, and Pendleton California, and was stationed in Korea in 1951 and 1952. He carried a M1, BAR rifle in his role in the infantry, and drove wounded soldiers across enemy lines as an ambulance driver. He was discharged at Camp Lejeune. One of the highlights of his later life was being selected to join an Honor Flight to Washington DC to celebrate his service.
Don was blessed with two great kids, Dawn Wilson (Gregg) and Robert Wilson (Mary), with Catherine Wilson, who proceeded him in death. He is also survived by a sister Donnajean and her 5 children: Jeremiah, Joshua, Jacob, Joseph and Jonathan; a brother Arthur, and a grandson, Christian Flynn (Brett). His brother, Norman, who had five children: Steve, Dave, John, Laura and Mark; preceded him in death.
He attended Butler University on the GI Bill. He was employed at American Foundry (Chrysler) for 30 years and worked in Real Estate for two years. He spent about 10 years traveling with the FAA.
Don was a member of Indy Dancers over 30 years. Elizabeth (Dolly) Crowley was his recent dance partner and BF. He was also member of PWP for 10 years. He traveled extensively as a hobby with AMUUSE and Toastmasters. May he rest in peace.
