Deverl Kenneth Shelton

Deverl Kenneth Shelton, 60, finished his journey here on earth on April 10, 2023, at his home with his loving wife by his side. He was born on October 18, 1962, in Marion, Indiana, to Herman “Sonny” Shelton and Sandra (Brown) Butcher. He attended Madison-Grant Schools.

Deverl married Catherine (Baker) Miller on November 26, 1993. He worked at various establishments including Aramark, Wendy’s, and almost twenty years at North American Manufacturing in Fairmount.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy; son, Dustin (Christina) Shelton, of Fruitland Park, Fl; step-children: Michele (Matthew) Sabella, of Harvest, Al; Shawn Miller, of Thorntown; and Amber (Austin) Lamb, of Noblesville; grandchildren, Harley, Cyrus, and Olivia Shelton, Andrews; Ava and Arabella Shelton, of Fruitland Park, Fl; Anastasia (Rob) Buckler, of Sebring, Fl; Sasha (Andrew) Eastlack, of Fairmount; Sebastian Marziarz, of Jonesboro; Sarah Jones, of Connecticut; Cody Holloway, of Indiana; August and Aemon Lamb, of Noblesville; great-grandchildren, Amelia and JJ Buckler, and John Turner, Jr.; sisters, Darla (Phil) Royal, of Fairmount and Leslie (Chuck) Banter, of Jonesboro. Also, four fur babies: Daisy May, Tucker, Barkley, and Auggie.

He was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Danialle and Dasha Shelton; his parents; and step-father, Joe Butcher.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 6, 2023, at the Gardens of Matter Park, One Matter Park Circle, Marion, Indiana 46952, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Neptune Society.
