

He was born on September 19, 1944, in Webster, Indiana, to Harry C. and Edna (Waddell) Williams. Daniel dedicated many years of his life to the railroad industry, beginning his career with the Pennsylvania Railroad and continuing through its transitions to Penn Central, Conrail, and ultimately CSX, where he retired.
Daniel is survived by the love of his life, Sarah Jane Allen, whom he married on January 19, 1976, and with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. He also leaves behind his daughters, Linda (Roger) Davis and Danielle (Tom) Farthing; his granddaughters, Elaine Davis, Natalie Davis, Carrissa (Jacob) Fugate, and Sarah Farthing; and his grandsons, Gregory Musgrave and Noah Farthing. He is further survived by his sisters-in-law Pauline Wortham, Rosalie Williams, Linda Allen, and JoAnn Allen; his brother-in-law Paul Allen; and many nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Roy, Kenny, Larry, Leslie, and Richard Williams; and his sisters Joyce Malicoate, Judy Love, and Ruth Williams.
Daniel found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved playing cards with friends, riding his motorcycle, and, above all, spending time with his family. His presence brought warmth, humor, and connection to those around him.
In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held. His final resting place will be at Clayton Cemetery in Clayton, Indiana.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
