Born Connie Jo Smith, she lived a life defined by love, devotion, and family. Connie cherished her marriage of 54 years to her husband, Noel Brooks Sr., a partnership built on unwavering commitment, shared laughter, and a lifetime of memories. Together, they created a home filled with love, comfort, and family traditions that will live on for generations.
Connie’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her family. She was a devoted mother to Noel Brooks Jr. (Susan), Catherine Kish (John), and Robert Brooks (Traci), and a deeply proud grandmother to Terry, Lauren, Jarod, Ryan, Zoey, Nyle, Malic, Abby, and Lexi. She found special joy in being a great-grandmother to Dawson, Chloe, Charlotte, and Ellison, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Rosemary Smith; her brothers, Bobby and Nile; and her beloved grandson’s wife, Rachel.
Those who knew Connie knew her as the heart of her family — a steady presence, a gentle voice, and a source of unconditional love. Her greatest love was her family, and her legacy is one of warmth, strength, and a love that will continue to surround those she leaves behind.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 5:00pm at the Avon American Legion, 4812 E Main St, Avon, IN 46123.
Connie will be deeply missed and forever loved.
