Arthur Frederick Tiedemann, Jr., 92, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023, in Kokomo, Indiana, with his family by his side. He was born October 20, 1930, to Arthur and Ilean Tiedemann in Dunkirk, New York.
Art served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After his military service, he worked for the New York Central Railroad and Westlake City Schools. After retiring and moving to Florida, he worked for Kingsway Country Club until 2020.
Art is survived by: his sons, Michael (Christine) of Copley, Ohio, William (Michael Richards) of St. Paul, Minnesota, and daughter, Mary (Michael) Kerschner of Cutler, Indiana; grandchildren, Nicole (Pat) Kewley of Buffalo, New York, Jennifer (Daniel) Williams of Brownsburg, Indiana, Michelle (Grant) Gossard of Sheridan, Indiana, and Michael (Xochitl) Tiedemann of Copperas Cove, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Max and Joe Gossard, and Adriana and Elaina Tiedemann; and siblings, Leonard, David (Sandy), Eileen Hanson, and Robert (Jody).
Art was preceded in death by his wife of forty-six years, Patricia Tiedemann; son, James Tiedemann, and his parents.
Graveside services will be held Monday, August 21, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., at Evergreen Cemetery, 29535 Center Ridge Road, Westlake, Ohio 44145. A luncheon hosted by his family will immediately follow the service at Houlihan’s, 25651 Detroit Road, Westlake, Ohio 44145.
