Angela M. Smith

Angela Marie (Leodoro) Smith of Portage, Indiana, passed away peacefully on January 9th, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on September 24, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, to Raymond Leodoro and Berneice Ebbens Leodoro, Angie lived a life full of love and joy. She married the love of her life, Lawrence N. Smith, on May 28, 1966, and they shared many wonderful years until his passing on June 6th, 2009.

Angie had many passions in life. She loved her family and friends deeply. She enjoyed living in Sarasota, Florida for seventeen years. Angie was an avid shopper, always on the lookout for a good bargain. She enjoyed going to the movies, dancing, reading, praying, playing bingo, and watching her favorite daytime soap opera, General Hospital. Angie also loved talking on the phone and posting on Facebook. She was known for her supportive and gracious nature and her generosity towards others.

Angie is survived by her devoted sons, Raymond (Sheryl) Smith and Larry (Bobbie) Smith, and her cherished grandchildren, Payton, Ryan, Lauren, Megan (Cody), Erica (Cale), Sarah, Rachel, and Camryn.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Haven Hospice for their support over the past 17 months. Through Haven Hospice, Angie made many friends who helped her prepare for her final days.

In accordance with Angie's wishes, there will be no services. Neptune Society has been entrusted with cremation arrangements.
