

Alyce was the third daughter of seven children born to Charles H. and Margaret A. Fisher. Raised in Walled Lake along with her siblings Jean (Sauber), Ruth (Mayes), Tom Fisher, Chuck Fisher, Bill Fisher and Ed Fisher.
She met and married Don Smith (also of Walled Lake) in 1956. They had two children Laura Dee (Wands) and Donald Nelson Smith (deceased).
Alyce's career choice was that of a bookkeeper accountant. She worked for Fisher Oil (her father's company), Halter Tool (of Pontiac), and retired from L.A.Y. Company in 2007.
She enjoyed hosting neighborhood parties, bowling, and golf. Alyce never met an art fair she didn't like. Attending the Ann Arbor Art Fair for several decades and introducing friends and family to her love of that particular event. Her home was filled with art fair finds over the past sixty years. Alyce beat cancer twice.
In May of 2024 she sold her home of sixty years to move to her daughter and son-in-law's home in Indiana, where she lived the remainder of her life.
Alyce was preceded in death by her husband Don, her son Donald Nelson Smith, sisters Jean (Sauber) and Ruth (Mayes), brothers Bill Fisher and Ed Fisher.
Alyce is survived by her brothers Tom and Chuck Fisher, daughter Laura (Russell) Wands, grandchildren Russell William Wands, Steven Victor Wands, Gregory Saxton Wands and Micheal Anthony Smith and by eleven greatgrandchildren Jalylah, Brycen, Lucas, Nolan, Ayden, Jackson, Titus, Charles, Logan, Katiebeth and Ethan.
