William Edwin Gilson

William Edwin Gilson, 84 of Magnolia was born December 26, 1938 in Plymouth, New Hampshire to Charles Oliver and Helen Pansy (Bickford) Gilson and passed away at his home on March 24, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather to family whom he enjoyed spending all of his time with. He served in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Gilson, son Morgan “Sammy” Gilson; daughter, Linda DeForest; daughter, Lela May and husband, Jim; daughter, Roxie Kirk and husband, Shaun; son John Gilson, son, James Gilson and wife, Debra; grandchildren, Christina Moulder, Brittany DeForest, Stephen Rose, Amanda Sharman, John Rose, James May, Crystal Kirk, Shawn Henry Kirk, Mia and Lilly Gilson, Jamie and Christian Gilson along with many great-grandchildren and other extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Helen Gilson.

Memorial services will be held at 12:45pm, Monday, April 10, 2023 at Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
