Steven honorably served in the United States Air Force for 11 years as a Law Enforcement Supervisor. His dedication to duty and service to his country were a source of pride, and he was honorably discharged after his years of commitment. Following his military service, he was a devoted employee of Wal-Mart and Murphy USA, where he built lasting friendships and was deeply respected by his colleagues. His warmth, humor, and strong work ethic made a lasting impression on those who had the privilege of working with him.
Beyond his work, Steven had a passion for riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He found joy and freedom on the open road and loved the camaraderie that came with being part of the motorcycle community. More than anything, he cherished spending time with his family. Whether sharing stories, celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying each other’s company, his greatest happiness came from being with those he loved.
He leaves behind his beloved companion, Joanie McCranie of Spring, Texas. He is also survived by his children: Susan Drury of Gulf Shores, Alabama; Steven and Diane Stricklan of Athens, Alabama; Tanja Kristiansen of Denmark; Brian and Rita Stricklan of Porter, Texas; and Jordan and Angel Konesheck of Katy, Texas. In addition, he is survived by his sisters: Carol Stockamp of Hurst, Texas; Teresa Petersen of North Richland Hills, Texas; Kelly Gardner of Cleveland, Texas; and his sister-in-law Nora Stricklan of Houston, Texas. He cherished his grandchildren and shared a deep bond with his many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Steven’s life was marked by his love for family, his unwavering kindness, and his ability to bring laughter and warmth to those around him. His legacy will live on through the countless memories shared with those who loved him.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Park Manor of Conroe and Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital for the care and compassion they showed to Steven in his final days.
