was born on January 2, 1956 in Texas. He earned his wings on 2/25/25 in Sealy, Texas, after nearly a three-year battle from a major stroke. He had been in the process of planning to move to Thailand, but he found out that God had other plans for him. At the time of his stroke, Steve was living in Tulsa, OK in his 5th wheel trailer. After his stroke, he was not able to live independently, so his faithful friends, Jason and Ginger helped to move him back to Texas.
Steve was a successful entrepreneur, prior to retirement and will be remembered for his love of Elvis Presley. In his younger years, he was an Elvis impersonator, long before karaoke became popular. He could really draw a crowd when he took the microphone. Just like Elvis, Steve loved Las Vegas and was quite a talented poker and slots player. His ambition was to become a famous poker star, training with the World Series of Poker proteges. Even though he did not make the big time, Steve was one hell of a lucky gambler, and he made his rounds to casinos in Louisianna, Mississippi, Nevada and Oklahoma.
Steve was also an avid fan of football, golf and fast cars and motorcycles. Steve never met a stranger, and those who knew him were lucky to call him a friend. May you remember Steve with a famous quote from Elvis Presley, “Until we meet again, may God bless you as he has blessed me.”
