Sharon Lang, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the age of 59. Born in East Bernard, Texas, on May 28, 1965, Sharon graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1987 and pursued a successful career as a retail sales professional. A devoted Christian, Sharon's faith was the cornerstone of her life.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lavearn Hlavinka, and her sister, Deborah Kirkland.
Sharon leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and strength. She is survived by her loving husband, Darryl Lang; her father, Joseph Hlavinka and his wife Kari; Cindy Hlavinka Jeter and her husband Kevin; her children, Amanda Segall and her fiancé Kory Phelps, and Dalton Segall and his wife Kelly; her cherished grandchildren, Ryen, Tatum, Walker, and Lucy; her niece, Zoe Kirkland; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Sharon's heart was as big as her smile, and her love for her family was beyond measure. She had a unique ability to connect with others, always welcoming new friendships with an exuberant smile and a joyful spirit. Her laughter, kindness, and unwavering strength left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Sharon was a woman of great faith who knew she had a place waiting for her in Heaven. Her presence will be dearly missed, but her memory will continue to light the hearts of those who loved her.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers who provided exceptional care and compassion during Sharon's final days.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. February 22, 2025 at Conroe Bible Church.
