Ronald Letcher Moore, 77, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 24, 1947, Ronald was a man of quiet strength and unwavering determination. Even as he faced AML leukemia and underwent chemotherapy, he showed immense courage, never once complaining throughout his treatments.
Born and raised in Houston, Ronald attended Longfellow Elementary, Pershing Middle School, and Bellaire High School before earning his degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta. His lifelong friendships with his fraternity brothers remained a cherished part of his life. In his youth, Ronald excelled in baseball, golf, and tennis.
Upon graduating college, Ronald went on to work in the family business at Moore Petroleum Service Co. until 1995. He continued in the oil and gas industry working tirelessly, embodying a strong work ethic throughout his life and was productive to the end.
Ronald was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Lulu; his parents, Jesse and Olga Moore; his sister, Vicky; his brother, Terry; and his nephew, Matthew. He is survived by his son, Wylie; his daughter, Juli, and her husband, Andrew Jones; his brothers, Gary Moore and Jess Moore, and Jess’s wife, Patricia; as well as his nephews, Aaron Seward, Forrest Seward, Lee Moore, Joey Moore, Jesse Moore, and James Moore. He is also survived by his devoted companion of over 30 years, Kathleen Crow, and her two sons, Robert Crow and his wife, Kimberly and Douglas Crow and his wife, Brandi.
Ronald’s kindness, generosity, and steadfast work ethic left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His remarkable spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered by the many lives he touched.
A memorial service to celebrate Ronald’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Bradshaw-Carter Funeral Home, 1734 W Alabama St, Houston, TX 77098. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor his memory, sharing stories that reflect his extraordinary character and the lasting impact he had on those around him.
