Roland Martinez Nichols

He was born on St Thomas Virgin Island, USA on May 30th, 1957. He lived his early years St Thomas, VI-USA and was Baptized in Faith at St Peter and Paul Cathedral. He came to the USA with his family and moved to Chicago, Illinois He then served in the US Army. He loved playing computer games and would spend long hours looking at the stars and talk about God in long conversations with his family.

He was preceded in death by his mother (Leona), grandmother (Marie), uncles (Alphonso, Roland and Hugo) and brother (Juan). He is survived by his children; Roland Jr., Elijah, Denise, and Elaine; his sister Virginia/Earl, James/Susan, and Cleveland; matriarch aunts Doris and Cecilia/Larry and a host of loving cousins (Euclid, Joseph, William, Michelle, Sonny, Crystal, etc.) and nieces and nephews.

Roland’s life’s journey carried him through many difficult and trying times. However, he was Compassionate and had an infectious and Humorous laugh that made you smile. He always had caring thoughts and a heart filled with words of support that could make you feel better. Our fond remembrances shared and treasured thoughts will forever remain with Loving Thoughts of You
