
Robert Lloyd Stockburger, born on September 21, 1945, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Robert dedicated his life to medicine as an OB-GYN, where he found immense joy in bringing countless babies into the world. His compassion and commitment to his patients made a lasting impact on too many families to count. He started his journey to medical school through the Army and explored the world living in both Hawaii and Germany prior to settling in his home state of Texas.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Tamara Marcile Stockburger. He was a proud father to three daughters: Tracy Frazier, who is married to Jesse Frazier and together they have two children, Jacob, and Lauren; Elke Russell, who is married to Bryan Russell and is the mother of June and Emme; and his youngest daughter, Lindsey Stockburger. He was a loving big brother to David Stockburger, and his wife Kathleen Stockburger.
Robert’s intelligence, warmth, kindness, and sense of humor touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine Student Scholarship Program at Invest in innovation, patient care and education at HSC Fort Worth in his honor.
