Robert Monroe Floyd

A truly wonderful man, Bob was born on January 4, 1926 in Slidell, LA. As a member of the Greatest Generation, he proudly served our country in the Navy during WWII, graduated with honors from Tulane University and went on to enjoy a 39 year career with Texaco.

Bob was a man of honor, dignity, intelligence and integrity who loved his family with all his heart.

Missing him until they are together again is the love of his life, Lorelei, his beautiful wife of almost 76 years. Bob also leaves behind those proud to call him Dad, Peggy (Rick) Floyd, Craig (Christa) Floyd and Kathy (David) Boyd, as well as 5 incredible grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and his brother-in-law, Father Leo Meyer.

A special family celebration of his life was held on Saturday, April 29. No graveside services are planned at this time.

Bob/Dad/Papa, you will remain forever in our hearts.
