Martha L Gant

Martha Lou Gant went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 27, 2025. She was born on March 25, 1938, in San Augustine, Texas. A lifelong Texan and proud member of her community, Martha was known for her warm heart, outgoing spirit, and unwavering love for animals. She retired from Comerica Bank in 1997 after a long and dedicated career.

A faithful member of Fellowship of Praise Church in Stafford, TX, Martha lived her life with purpose, generosity, and kindness. Her love for others was evident in every relationship she nurtured — whether as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, or friend.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Chronister (1973) and Addie Mae Chronister (1982); and her siblings, Edward Chronister (2014), William “Bill” Chronister (2011), and Henry Arthur Chronister (1943).

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Randy Frick and his wife Jenta, and Rhonda Norrid and her husband Danny. Martha was a proud and devoted grandmother to Christopher Warren, Chianne Norrid, Kelsen Frick, Trace Frick and his wife Mariah, Spencer Rose and his wife Megan, Shelby Rose, and Shane Rose. Her legacy continues through her great-grandson, Levi Norrid, who brought her endless joy. Martha also shared lifelong friendships with Carol Cates and Nancy Davis, whose love and support were constant throughout the years.

Martha’s warmth, grace, and generous heart touched many lives. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved her.
