Mark Benjamin Weatherly

Mark Benjamin Weatherly of Houston, Texas passed away on January 6, 2026 at the age of 72. He was born on November 22, 1953 in Houston, Texas where he grew up on Weatherly Way with loving parents and seven siblings, Greg, Chris, Mary, Matt, Joseph, John and Lisa.

He graduated from St. Thomas High School in Houston, Texas in 1971.

He worked in the oil and natural gas production industry for over 45 years in a variety of field service areas, spending the bulk of his career in the environmental compliance sector as a Registered Environmental Manager.

He was a committed blood donor with the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, an avid Houston Astros fan, and thoroughly enjoyed a good cup of coffee and game of chess. Mark took great pride in his family’s heritage, and had many fond memories of time spent at his grandparents’ farm in Sweet Home, Texas. He was also quick to mention to anyone that he was Native Houstonian, a dying breed.

He is preceded in death by his brother Greg, and parents, Robert and Evelyn (Berkovsky) Weatherly.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lynn; his daughters, Katharine (Jason) Hatcher; Victoria (Sam) Means; and grandchildren, Evelyn and Amos. They love him more than the oceans.
