Lisa Jeanne Hrebicek Christoph (GG) of Cypress, 63, a loving wife, mother and grandmother born June 30, 1961, Normandy (St Louis County) Missouri to Paul and Patricia Roberts Hrebicek quietly passed away on February 1, 2025, in Houston, Texas.
With utmost sadness, we say goodbye to a woman, who loved as much as she lived. Lisa lived every day, to the fullest. Lisa was the matriarch to her family, loved adventure and the beach. Her love of the beach and water were unsurpassed. She was, from an incredibly early age, always independent, strong, and willing to stand up for others. She loved spending time with the family. She loved great music and loved to dance.
Lisa grew up in St Louis, Missouri, went to Licking High School. Her early career, she worked as a nuclear inspector. Inspecting nuclear power plants, throughout the United States. Later in her career, she moved to Houston, Texas and worked in the Oil and Gas industry as a technical writer for many years. She retired in 2012. Her zest for life, didn’t stop with work though. She loved the beach and spending time with her family. She and her husband were season ticketholder with the Houston Texans. She enjoyed tailgating at Houston Texans and watching Texans and Astros games with her husband Kenny and the entire family.
She met the love of her life, Kenny Christoph in 2001. Thet were married in 2004. Her many hobbies included spending endless vacations with her family, in the water and on the beach. Whether, it was a birthday, holiday or vacation. Lisa was always in front and center. She was the matriarch of the family.
Lisa is preceded in death by her grandmother Betty Gradle and favorite aunt, Eleanor Lumetta. Mom (Patricia) and Dad (Paul), father-in- law and mother-in-law, William (BJ) and Dinah Christoph.
Lisa is survived, by her husband of 21 years, Kenneth Christoph, Daughters, Brittany Cook and partner Joshua Waterman. Kayleigh Coleman and husband Bryce and Miranda Johnson and husband Michael. Grandchildren, Harleigh Cook, Riley Waterman, Tuff Inlow and Reed Johnson. brother-in-law, Brad Christoph and partner Cindy Covington, Aunts, Wanda Michie, and Kathy Audish. Brother, Mark Hrebicek and numerous cousins and many friends.
As we grieve at Lisa’s passing, we will always remember her kind words and how she would never let us down. In addition, to all the memories we shared together. Even though she is no longer with us, we know that she will always be missed, beyond words.
Her granddaughter, Harleigh, really enjoyed telling her GG everything about her personal life. She always welcomed the great advice that her GG gave her, for every situation. Harleigh looked to her as a role model and cherished her grandmother’s presence in many ways.
A life celebration will be held, in June, around Lisa’s birthday in Matagorda Texas. More information to come. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks, that you consider donating to 4Ocean, a company that cleans up our beaches and oceans, in her memory.
GG will be missed and will live in our hearts forever.
