Karen Marie Franks

Karen was born February 2, 1961 in Fresno, California, to parents Emmett Franks and Jo Ann (Bilbo) Wilson. She graduated from Byrd High School, Shreveport, LA in 1979. She was an avid reader and active volunteer in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts for many years. She loved arts and crafts and would paint anything she could. She absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren who were the light of her life.

Karen was preceded in death by her father, Emmett Franks; sister, Brenda Smith and brother, Bixby Wilson.

Karen is survived by her mother, Jo Ann Wilson of Shreveport, LA; brother Timothy Wilson of Dallas, TX; former husband, Andrew Finney of Cypress and their children; son, David Finney of Cleveland, TX; daughter, Shari Cagle and husband Jason Cagle of Katy, TX; and her seven grandchildren, Brooke Cagle, Gavin Finney, Emma Cagle, Sarah Cagle, Amos (Finney) Sanden, Wyatt Finney and Molly Cagle.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Karen’s memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in honor of her granddaughter, Sarah Cagle.
