John "Chris" Christopher Mitchell

passed away on February 18, 2025 at the age of 40 in Houston, Texas. Chris was born on May 25, 1984 in Houston, Texas where he grew up and graduated from Stratford High School in 2003.

Chris graduated from Baylor University in 2008 with Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems. He worked as a Research and Investment Analyst at Pin Oak Investment Advisors.

Chris loved his family, spending time with friends, Baylor University, cooking, reading, tailgating, science fiction, sports, math, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Cook-off and being a groomsman in many friends’ weddings. His humor and lightheartedness brought joy to all who encountered him.

Chris is survived by his mother Glenda Kay Mitchell; sister and brother-in-law Lauren and Chris Luttrell; aunt and uncle Nancy and Barry Pearce; cousin Brian Pearce and sons; cousin Bethany and Zebulon Parker and son; cousin Jonathan and Toni Pearce and many friends. He is preceded in death by his father John Mitchell and grandparents.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service at Tallowood Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 11:00 am in the Chapel with a reception afterwards.
